Marshmello, one of the most popular yet mysterious DJs, soon became one of the favorites of people around the world, with his synth and bass-heavy electronic dance music. The American DJ, who is just in his late 20s, has already captured the hearts of millions of followers, but it seems he has just started. Here are some really interesting things to know about the famous, yet not-so-know DJ Marshmello, that will make you love him more:

1.  The first ever song he posted was “WaVez,” as an original mix. He posted it on his SoundCloud in March 2015, following which he gained the support of famous DJs, including Skrillex.
2.  He joined hands with Fortnite player Tyler “Ninja”Blevins” for the Epic’s E3 Celebrity Pro Am charity tournament, and won a million dollars as the prize money.
3.  The duo donated half of the prize money to KIND – Kids in Need of Defense, an organization that focuses on helping refugees and immigrant children with legal counsel.
4.  Marshmello was ranked at #8 in the Forbes list of “World’s Highest-paid DJs,” with earning of over $21 million, in the year 2017.
5.  His very first and major award was for the “Best Electronic” category at the MTV Europe Music Awards in the year 2018.
